Show Notes:

This week we are going to tackle the Number One question I get when I’m out speaking and coaching with media production teams. And that is – How do I get people interested in serving on my team? How do I recruit new people? We will dive into that in this episode and I’m going to give you 6 ideas for inviting new volunteers to your team.

In this episode, I discuss these 6 Ideas for Inviting New Volunteers to your Team:

  1. Church Membership or Ownership Class
  2. Small Groups
  3. On-Stage Push
  4. Announcement Slide
  5. Team T-Shirts and Gear
  6. Ministry Fair

I also discussed these realistic takeaways and things to think about once new people join your team:

  1. If you’re culture sucks, you can invite people all day long but not many people will come along for the ride.
  2. Know and understand that you are going to get a “no” 80% of the time you go after new volunteers.
  3. Have a clear idea of the opportunities available for people before you start inviting them in.
  4. Have a clear On-Ramp for New Volunteers.
