Music to My Ears and My Creativity

Being a Worship Leader at a church doesn’t always mean you are only playing music on Sundays and rehearsals mid-week. Often times the job description comes along with creating graphics, putting together videos, stage design, lights, audio, etc.

Something that really helps me stay focused throughout the day on all the tasks I need to get done is listening to music.

I love having background music on when I am putting together slides for Sunday morning, or creating announcement slides, you name it. It helps me get stay focused. Some music does distract me, just because I start listening TOO much rather then focusing on the work I need to complete. I’d just like to share some albums that I have found keep my mind focused on the work, while also being great musically.

North Campus Worship Leader and Tech Director
Harbor Covenant Church | Gig Harbor, WA

Ben is a pastors son. Growing up, he always said he would never follow in his father’s foot steps, but God had a different plan. Ben was called to full-time ministry and followed that call. His first time playing in a worship band was in the 8th grade and he has been involved ever since. His desire is to lead people in true and authentic worship, glorifying Jesus Christ. Currently, he is the Worship Leader at Harbor Covenant Church North Campus in Gig Harbor, Washington – a satellite church establishing it’s presence in a community where there is no church. He also is the Tech Director at the Central Campus, overseeing the areas of sound, stage design, graphics, lighting, and video.
